Theatrerhythm Final Fantasy Update

Games

Just a few updates on upcoming rhythm based game from Square Enix, Theatrerhythm Final Fantasy. First off, the music will consist of more than 50 songs which is a massive plus ranging from Final Fantasy I right through to Final Fantasy XIII. Each game will be contributing 3 songs making for a great sounding game with an amazing and rich audio experience. Apparently SE is looking for a winter release and have also incorporated surround sound which will fit in nicely with the 3D graphics. Some other news that have recently surfaced is that when you play a level, you’ll actually be selecting a title to play it in from FFI – FFXIII, it’s at this point that you’ll be able to select the difficulty as well. Each title will consist of three very different stages called Battle, Field and Event, as well as being able to make up a party of four from the various characters that will be on offer such as Cloud and Lightning. Pretty cool 🙂

Your character will also be able to level up as you complete each level although it’s unclear as to how this will play into the game or what your character stats will be used for. I mentioned earlier on the songs in the game, I’ve found out that some of the choice selections in the game will be the following: At Zanarkand (Final Fantasy X), The Sunleth Waterscape (Final Fantasy XIII), One Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII) and Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy V). Some absolute gems in there especially One Winged Angel, personal fave of mine!

Along with the news on gameplay, levels and music, there was also a new batch of images released which are below so be sure to check them out and see how the game is progressing 🙂 Can’t wait for this, it’s shaping up as a unique game harnessing the fanbase of a well known franchise which should see it do well for the 3DS and may even be a system seller for some people considering the recent price drop for the 3DS.
